1. Red tile roof
2. Low-pitched roof
3. Little to no overhang on eaves
4. Arches
5. No break in the wall surface where it extends to the gable
6. Stucco surfaces
7. Asymmetrical facade
8. Tiles over chimney tops
9. Round or Square towers
10. Decorative iron sconces and door knockers
The best places to find Spanish Revival are Point Loma, Loma Portal, Kensington, Presidio Park, Mission Hills, and in Rancho Santa Fe, where famed architect Lilian Rice designed many buildings.
